i have written a novel called "Immortal Flame" It is about an Arabian ghost who haunts a woman. Until I saw the first 'Mummy' movie and spotted that hunk on a black horse, I couldn't quite picture what my leading character looked like. Well! No problem after Oded came onto the screen. That name is adapted from the name the mummy character uses in the original Mummy from the 30's. According to the IMDb, that character's name was actually spelled "Ardath Bey", which I take to be 1930 Hollywood's best attempt to come up with an Egyptian-sounding name.
According to my baby name guide, Ardath is actually a Hebrew girl's name which means "field of flowers".

the mummy movies are my fave movies ever i am so obsessed! i know the script (yes even the egyptian they speak) off by heart, I have props statues etc, i know all about egypt (since i'm very obsessed with egypt too) I can read hieroglyphics, i have the mummy movies on dvd with 2 extra bonus disks, i have the soundtracks, posters,books i watch them every night!! i love the entire cast especially arnold vosloo, brendan, john hannah, rachel weisz and oded fehr, I am the biggest fan by far, everyone that knows me knows it (and gets quite annoyed with me reciting the film, speaking egyptian and humming the soundtrack) i even bought all the CD's of live the band that did one of the songs on the soundtrack to the mummy returns, my room is full of pictures I've drawn of the cast, scenes, etc, i'm hoping to get the original script with brendan frasers autograph on it (its expensive) and i'm studying to become an egyptologist, (not just cause of the mummy) i'm gonna live in Egypt when I'm older and I have a website on it, although I have not updated in ages and it still says I'm 14 lol, well if you want to visit it its www.shrineofisis.art shost.com :) I AM WEIRD I LOVE IT SO MUCH...*cough cough* bye bye

I love both TM, & TMR! I have both movies, soundtracks and TMR book. I personally think Evelyn was the best in both movies, and her & Rick O'Connell fit. I wish Rachel & Brenden could be in the next Mummy movie but I guess they've made up their minds. Sadly... I didn't like Imhotep or Anuk-Sa-namun, but they did fit the part. I love brendan fraser. He is soooo cute. I've seen many of his movies and the Mummy is my favorite one, out of all the movies in the world. I think i have a horrible life. I'm soo un-popular. The Movie The Mummy Returns was a great film!! I thought the action scenes rocked and the story line was so captivating! Ive seen this off of ur seat thirller at least 7 times. And will continue to not only go and see this movie again and again till it comes to video BUT also watch the Mummy a MILLION TRILLION times. Because of this movie I have learned how to read ancient egyptian hierogliphics and can write in ancient egyptian. I now hope to someday visit Egypt and visit the Pyrmids of Giza, King Tut's tomb and to Anubis and Osiris-Isis's Tombs north of Cairo. That would be sooo captivating!

For all you people that thought the mummt returns was great, all I have to say is What the hell were you smoking. This movie could have been so much better. I have read better scripts online. My biggest grip was with anck-su-namun. WHY WOULD SEE KILL HERSELF IN THE FIRST MOVIE (BECAUSE SHE LOVE IMHOTEP SO MUCH), AND THEN NOT RISK HER LIFE TO SAVE HIM LATER? just wanna say that the mummy is just one of the best movies i have seen. not a lot of ppl know this but a lot of the happeneings in the movie were actually true. i have studied egypt 4 ever and there woz a book of the dead, canopic jars like the ones in the movie, the gods mentioned like 'oris' etc were really egyptian god's and the curses were also real. whether or not they worked is another matter!! :) i just love the movie and i think the lady in it (evie) is just the most beautiful woman in the world! ok i will shut up now!

From what I hear, not only will Oded be back for the sequel, he'll have a much larger role this time out. Apparantly, his character was actually supposed to die in the first file, but director Steve Sommers decided to let him live, because Oded's such a nice guy and everyone liked him (and the character) so darn much. So fear not, as far as I know, Mr. Fehr will indeed be back for "Mummy 2". As to whether or not he shows his butt, well, you'll just have to find that out for yourself. So long kids.

I just wanted to let you guys know that as far as I know, Oded will indeed be back for "Mummy 2" and from what I hear, he'll be doing more than just following Brendan Frasier around this time. A while ago I heard that Oded will be featured in part 2 as a major player, especially since the reaction to his work in part 1 was so strong. In fact if you watch the director's track on the DVD, Steve Sommers talks about how he was originally going to kill Ardeth Bay off, but he just couldn't bring himself to do it, because Oded was such a nice, handsome guy. Total agreement, I only saw Man in the Iron Mask a few months ago and was mostly impressed with Gabriel Byrne. And I watched The Mummy for Brendan Fraser but lost all thoughts of him when I saw Oded Fehr! I've even bought the video just so I can hear his beautiful voice when I drift off to sleep at night!

I would just like to write and say that I've been reading the messages on this site and I am so glad that other people love Oded aswell. I love him so much and I really miss being able to see him in the Mummy. I missed Killer Net when it was on and so would love someone to send me an E-mail telling me if there is going to be a repeat.
I'm sure Oded and this woman won't last so we still have a v.v.v.small chance! I like the sound of this new movie and I'll be watching out for any other films. I know its really strange, but I want to know what he'd look like in the Bat man outfit. All that tight rubber... PHARRR!

I don't really have any new info on Oded. I did hear from a friend of a friend (of a friend) that he was spotted at a recent "Mummy" related event at the Universal theme park in Hollywood with a young lady on his arm. That's about all I got. Oh yeah, I do know that he lives in a two bedroom apartment and I think he just bought a car. Other than that, I know nothing. When it comes to Oded info, it looks like fansites are the best bet for now. I know the info on those sites is spurious at best, but I'm not sure where else one could go. All I know is that when Oded breaks though (as I'm sure he will) there will be a great deal of info on this talented new actor. So just hang on, everyone, you can make it! Hope this helped. So long.

Happily we have a reasonable substitute video(namely Killer Net).
We were both so incredibly relieved to find out that our hero was not killed by those horrible priests of Imhotep. But every time I see the mummy again we fear for Oded's life!!!!!

To the best of my understanding, he is not currently married, which I guess makes him single. At the moment, I don't think he's dating anyone, but with so many "ladies" out to "rock his world," I'm sure that won't last long. Mr. Fehr will be appearing in the upcoming film "Deuce," in which he plays an Italian gigolo. Look out ladies, word is, he takes his shirt off in a scene. But don’t quote me on that. Please note that I’m not too into seeing the man shirtless, I’m just trying to throw you gals a bone. The film is a comedy which also stars Rob Schneider. Remember him? He was that "copy guy" from Saturday Night Live. I know he's not that funny or amusing, but apparently someone likes him enough to put him in a movie. So excelsior to you, Mr. Schneider! Anyhow, I’m sure the film will be decent if Mr. F is in it. I’ve only met him once or twice, but he’s an amazingly nice guy and I expect that he’s going to break through in rather large way, fairly soon. Then he’ll probably go from nice guy to angry drunk star, the likes of which throws whisky bottles at toadying assistants because they forgot to pick out the green "M&M’s" before presenting them for inspection. Of course that may not happen. For those of you who want more info on the guy, there’s ton of fansites on the "internet" devoted to him. Or stop by your local library and check out a book about him. Yeah, I know there aren’t any yet, but I was thinking in like two years, when there’s tons of cheap, poorly written biographies about the guy, with titles like "Oboy, Oded!" and "Don’t Fehr the Reaper".
