Body/Antibody Takes Budapest Apr 23, 2008 at 7:24PM

It was our most exotic location to date: Budapest, Hungary, on the beautiful Danube (not actually blue, as we discovered). A beautiful town filled with exotic architecture, art, culture, and an abiding love of international cinema. For 10 days every year, the cultural elite in Budapest turn their focus to one thing: the Titanic Film Festival, featuring the best in international cinema, and this year: Body/Antibody.

The beautiful Toldi Art Cinema, which hosted 2 of Body/Antibody's three screenings in Budapest
Body/Antibody had been selected as part of the Titanic's "Discovery of America" series, one of seven American films which included Oscar nominees 3:10 to Yuma, In the Valley of Elah, and Half Nelson and Werner Herzog's Rescue Dawn. It was prestigious company, and we were honored and intimidated to be part of it.

Writer/co-director Kerry Douglas Dye took questions from an incredibly alert and inquisitive audience
For visiting Body/Antibody representative writer/co-director Kerry Douglas Dye, it was an unusually high-profile experience, with a four-day press junket that included an appearance on Hungarian MTV, two hours on the underground Fuzio Radio, endless print interviews, and an audience Q&A that stretched into the wee hours of the morning.

Hungarians who missed one of the three screenings in Budapest will have the opportunity to catch the movie starting in October on HBO Central Europe, which includes Poland, Romania, the former Yugoslavia and numerous other countries in the region.

Thanks to everyone in Budapest for a great festival experience, and we'll see you with our next movie!
