It was a boozy night in Carle Place, Long Island at a chi-chi French banquet hall, where the Long Island International Film Expo awarded the second of their two awards to Body/Antibody. Those awards: a trophy for Best Screenplay, as well as an award for Best Supporting Actor for the amazing Frank Deal.

We probably didn't put as much effort as we should have into this fest ... with Montreal and others on the horizon, we sort of let this regional one slide, didn't push too hard to get people into the theatre, etc. But ultimately, we gotta say, they were nice, organized, had some really good movies, and the parties were good (we made a lot of new friends, which is always a plus). And the screenplay trophy was a heavy mo-fo that does a nice impression of an Oscar.

That's now four awards for two fests ... We're probably can't keep this average up as we head to Rhode Island next week, but we're certainly enjoying the ride.

Onward!
