Genius producer Jordan Hoffman decreed that the production of Body/Antibody would have a four-day break over Fourth of July weekend. As I sit here recovering from a nasty head cold and three weeks of exhaustion, I have nothing but praise for this brilliant scheduling decision. I was starting to forget what a good night's sleep felt like.
Production has been going awesomely. We've had our setbacks. Blown power one day. Another day of leaving the shooting permits -- then the van keys -- in Astoria (followed by a van crash and an extortionate cry of "this is a hydraulic mirror -- they don't even make these anymore! I want cash!") But nothing that interfered with the brilliant footage we've been getting. Dailies have been gorgeous. The crew hasn't mutinied yet, the cast is still speaking to us ... Thus far -- 12 days down, 9 to go! -- it's been a smashing success.
Here are some more pictures from the set:

Gorgeous and talented star Leslie Kendall during the big "first date" scene. She's so beautiful, she only needs a ghost of a makeup person, pictured here.

Here's me (Kerry Douglas Dye), star Rob Gomes, and producer Jordan Hoffman enjoying a warm moment.

During the sex scenes, it was suggested that the male members of the crew take off their pants so that the actors in front of the camera would feel more comfortable. We weren't able to get Hoffman to put his clothes on for the rest of the day.

It's not just the script. Things got a little kinky behind the scenes with star Rob Gomes and producer Jordan Hoffman.

Here we are in Sakura Park on the Upper West Side (we continued shooting for 4 hours after our permit expired -- so guerilla!) That's gorgeous star Leslie Kendall with a Coke as Director of Photography Raoul Germain sets up a jib. Jordan and I can be seen doing directory stuff off to the right there.

And here's star Robert Gomes with actor John Wu in a cage. Don't ask.
