Team Ultrachrist! just returned from the scenic Bristol Riverside Theatre, home of the Philadelphia Video Festival, where we are proud to report that judges awarded "Best Comedy" honors to our humble little opus.

This was our third festival screening, and the first that we could report went without a hitch (much thanks to the crack festival organizers). Audiences have dug the flick at every screening (really! Roaring laughter and boisterous huzzahs follow the flick wherever it plays), but the third act sound blow-out at the Black Point Film Festival and the quick-on-the-trigger early start at Arlene's Grocery on the Lower East Side (which had some audience members -- including our girlfriends -- not even making it into the theatre until the 5-minute mark) had us wondering if the man upstairs might not be passive-aggressively exercising his censorial powers through the hands of film festival projectionists.

But Philly was all good, as the kid's say, and we have a trophy to prove it. We also caught some very nice works from other filmmakers throughout the country. Nice to see that people are doing such great work in video, and nice to see that there are festivals out there looking to recognize it.

Next stop Georgia. We'll keep you posted.
